I have learnt a lot in our bird theme. We went on a very exciting excursion to Umgeni Bird Park to learn more about birds. We also did teach backs about a specific bird that we had chosen. Each child got a unique bird to do their project on. I had the Secretary Bird for my bird. Some people were lucky to see their bird at the bird park. I didn’t see my bird, but I had fun watching the variety of birds that were there. We also went to the bird show, which was very fascinating. We also made bird feeders to hang up on trees. We tested them at school. I liked making my bird feeder very much. I learnt a lot of things I never knew about birds. I thoroughly enjoyed our bird theme. Emily 4MC Our theme was awesome! There are birds that are colorful, there are birds that are dull but they are still wonderful. We went to Umgeni Bird Park because our theme is birds. I did my project on a Lilac –Breasted Roller and I saw it flying around in an aviary. We also went to the bird show! It was a lot of fun! There was a macaw, a hornbill and vultures. There was a lot of flamingos and there young (they were so cute). I even saw a peacock. The cassowary was there and it was huge!!! There were baby birds and eggs that birds lay. There were green eggs, pure white eggs, speckled eggs and brown eggs. That was the best day ever! Jordan 4MC Our bird theme was lots of fun as we went to the beautiful Umgeni Bird Park and saw the exquisite birds which were truly beautiful. We also had more fun making our creative bird feeders which was loads of fun. Then when I thought it couldn’t get any better we did our teach backs and I did the Knysna Lourie. And that’s was my wonderful bird theme. Reece 4M
