READING ROOM

Manor Gardens is fortunate to have a well stock Reading Room for the children from Grades 1 to 4. Our books are carefully chosen to ensure that they are meaningful and applicable to the childrens' daily experiences. The books are graded in levels of difficulty. They range from picture books to more advanced chapter books. By the end of Grade 4 the children have progressed through all these levels. The children visit the reading room everyday and choose books to read at home. We encourage the children to read for meaning and enjoyment. In the reading room children enjoy reading alone, reading to the teacher and reading to their friends in relaxed, non threatening environment.
