At the start of this new year the School Governing Body would like to welcome returning children and their parents and new children and their parents to Manor Gardens Primary School. We would also like to welcome new staff that have joined the creative and dedicated team of educators in the School.
We're going ahead, despite the weather. Bring your friends and your gumboots!
Despite the damp weather Camp Out did go ahead and was a great success. Many thanks to all the parents and children who came along and added to the happy atmosphere of the day. Thanks too for all the help running various activities, donation of gifts, food and many other things. Well done everyone for a successful fundraising event!
The grade 4's visited the Umgeni River Bird Park on 30 October as part of their bird theme. They studied the various birds and created some beautiful art. They also watched the bird show. We were so proud of their immaculate behaviour that we have decided to award them with a civvies day.
24 October - the eve of the Currie Cup Finals - saw our school all dressed in black and white in support of the Sharks (with a small smattering of blue for the Blue Bulls).
Manor Gardens are so delighted to announce the arrival of our new Principal Ms Carol Lottering. The SGB met Ms Lottering last night at the monthly meeting and are confident that she is going to be a strong, warm leader who will undoubtedly be a very positive influence on our fantastic school.
As part of the S.S Geography theme on Fishing, the children enjoyed a fish braai at school. Mr. Connellan and a number of the children were responsible for cooking the grunter! The children had a great time looking at and then eating the fish.
