The Senior and Intermediate Phase Gala was successfully held on 17 February with some exciting swimming and good results. As always there was a great atmosphere and the swimmers and spectators all enjoyed themselves. Tugela were the gala winners and Ifafa won the Spirit Trophy - well done to all!

Manor Gardens Primary School community is very proud of 8 year old Lisantham Moodley for coming 3rd in the National Junior World Qualifier golf championships. Lisantham is now in training to compete in the Little Pepsi Junior World Tournament to be held in America in June 2009
The A and B touch sides played their first ever game in a friendly against Durban Girls High on Friday 29th August 2008. Both the A and B teams consisted of players from Grades 2 to 7 boys and girls. It was great to watch the children play and to see just how much they have learned in the term and a half that they have been playing, they put on a great show against the 'big' girls from DGHS, both sides lost 5-1.
The Durban Central Cross Country trials were held at the University of KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday 23rd August 2008. Sam De Beer (under 13) came 3rd in his age group and Gina Keyser (Under 10) came 2nd and were selected to attend the Districts meeting in Amamzimtoti on Wednesday 27th August.
